Who we are
This website and the Fatsas Taxi service are run by FATSAS TAXI TRAVEL LTD, VAT no. 10350271H, registered office 1th Apriliou 11, 7040 Oroklini, Larnaca, Cyprus. We are the controller of the personal data described here, under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Cyprus law.
What we collect
When you book a ride with us by phone, WhatsApp or through this website, we collect:
- your name and phone number, and your email address if you give it;
- pickup and drop-off addresses, date and time, number of passengers and luggage;
- your flight number, so we can track your arrival;
- any requests you make, such as a child seat;
- the price, how you paid and whether the ride took place.
If you pay by card, the card details go straight to the payment provider. We never see or store them.
When you visit this website, our hosting provider processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver the pages and keep the site secure.
Why we use it
- To carry out your ride (performance of a contract, GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)): planning the pickup, giving your details to your driver and contacting you about the ride.
- To meet legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c)): invoices, accounting and tax records.
- For our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): keeping the website secure, preventing fraud and handling complaints.
We do not send you marketing without your consent, and we never sell your data.
Who we share it with
- Our drivers, who receive your name, phone number and ride details.
- Service providers who work for us: Cloudflare (website hosting and security), Google (web fonts used on this site) and Unsplash (photos shown on this site). When we use payment or messaging providers, they also process data for us. These providers may only use your data to provide their service to us.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. When they do, they rely on safeguards recognised by the EU, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep booking details for as long as we need them to provide the ride and deal with any follow-up, such as lost property or complaints. Records we must keep for accounting and tax purposes are kept for as long as Cyprus law requires. Website security logs are kept only for a short time.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of your data;
- have it corrected or deleted;
- restrict or object to how we use it;
- receive it in a portable format;
- withdraw any consent you gave.
To use any of these rights, contact us using the details below. You can also complain to the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus (www.dataprotection.gov.cy).
Changes
We may update this policy, for example when we add online payments. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
